Team Culture — The People Behind Your Workwear

Behind every ANSI-certified jacket, every ASTM-tested boot, and every custom-embroidered uniform is a team of skilled professionals who take their work seriously. At Xinyou Workwear, our culture is built on three principles: craftsmanship, accountability, and direct communication.

Craftsmanship Runs Deep

Shanxi province has been a textile manufacturing hub for generations. Many of our senior technicians, pattern makers, and QC inspectors grew up in families that worked in garment production. This isn’t just a job — it’s inherited knowledge. Our cutting team lead has 22 years of experience. Our head pattern maker can translate a rough sketch into a production-ready pattern in under 48 hours. The embroidery department manager started as an apprentice at 18 and now oversees 12 multi-head Tajima machines.

We invest in skills development. New hires undergo a 4-week training program covering fabric identification, machine operation, quality standards, and safety protocols. Experienced workers attend annual refresher courses on updated ANSI, ASTM, and EN standards so compliance knowledge stays current.

Accountability Without Layers

Most trading companies have a sales team that forwards messages to a factory they don’t own. We don’t have that problem. When you email [email protected], you reach our office in Taiyuan — the same building as the production floor. Questions about fabric specs, timeline changes, or custom packaging go directly to the people who can make decisions.

Every order has a designated production coordinator who tracks it from deposit to shipment. You’ll have one point of contact who knows your order inside out. If something needs adjusting, you’ll get an answer the same day — not “we’ll check with the factory and get back to you.”

Quality Is Everyone’s Job

We don’t have a separate “QC department” that inspects at the end. Quality checking happens at every stage: incoming fabric inspection, in-line checks during sewing, post-decoration verification, and final pre-packing inspection. Every worker on the production floor is trained to spot defects — a loose stitch, a misaligned reflective tape, an inconsistent print — and flag it immediately. The culture is “catch it now, not at the dock.”

Workplace That Works

Our Taiyuan facility operates under ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety standards. Production areas are well-lit and ventilated. Workstations are ergonomically designed for long-shift comfort. We maintain regulated working hours with fair overtime compensation. Regular team activities — seasonal dinners, skill competitions, and factory-wide celebrations — keep morale strong and turnover low.

Low turnover matters to you as a buyer. When the same team handles your repeat orders, quality stays consistent. The people who made your last batch remember the details for the next one.

Direct Line to the Factory Floor

We encourage our clients to talk directly with our production team. Prefer a WhatsApp video call to see your order in progress? We’ll walk the phone through the sewing line. Want to visit in person? Schedule an appointment and you’ll meet the people cutting, stitching, and packing your garments — not a sales representative in a separate office.

Join Us

We’re always looking for skilled sewing technicians, pattern makers, QC specialists, and production coordinators to join our Taiyuan team. If you’re based in Shanxi and have experience in garment manufacturing, send your resume to [email protected].

Safety Workwear — FAQ

Quick answers for buyers. Don't see yours? Just reach out.

Ordering & MOQ
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Clothing: 50 pieces per color per style. Footwear: 50 pairs per size run. Standard in-stock items without customization can often be ordered in smaller quantities — contact us to check.
Can I mix colors to meet the MOQ?
Yes — you can mix colors within the same style (e.g., 25 Safety Yellow + 25 Safety Orange of the same jacket). Mixing different product styles within one MOQ is generally not available.
How do I get a price quote?
Send us the product name, quantity per color/size, any custom requirements, and destination country. We respond with a full quotation within 24 hours on business days. Email [email protected] or WhatsApp +86 15359033996.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes — 50–199 pcs: standard · 200–499 pcs: 5–8% off · 500–999 pcs: 10–15% off · 1,000+ pcs: custom pricing. Contact us with your quantity for an accurate quote.
Can I get samples before a bulk order?
Yes — pre-production samples in 5–7 business days. Standard catalog samples are free; buyer covers shipping. Customized samples may have a fee credited back against the bulk order.
What is the production lead time?
Starts after deposit payment + sample approval. Standard items: 15–20 business days. Custom OEM: 25–35 days. Repeat orders: 10–15 days. Plan 6+ weeks ahead during Chinese New Year (Jan–Feb).
OEM & Custom Orders
Do you offer OEM and custom logo services?
Yes — full OEM/ODM: custom logo (embroidery, screen print, heat transfer), custom colors (Pantone matched), custom sizing, private label (woven labels, hang tags), and custom packaging. MOQ starts at 50 pcs per style.
What file format should I send for logo artwork?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) give the sharpest results. PNG at 300 DPI is acceptable for simpler prints. For embroidery, we convert to DST format at no charge. Include Pantone codes for exact color matching.
Can you match a specific Pantone color?
Yes, for non-safety-critical areas. ANSI-certified hi-vis items must remain Safety Yellow or Safety Orange — these cannot be changed without voiding certification. Custom Pantone colors are available for contrast panels, pockets, and trim.
Can you produce workwear from my own design?
Yes — full ODM service. Send your tech pack, sketches, or reference sample. We develop a toile for your approval. Full ODM projects take 4–6 weeks. MOQ starts at 100–200 pcs depending on complexity.
Will my design and logo be kept confidential?
Yes. We're happy to sign an NDA before sharing any files. Your designs and data are strictly confidential and never shared with third parties.
Do you offer custom packaging and retail-ready labeling?
Yes — branded poly bags, custom hang tags, woven care labels, barcode stickers (UPC/EAN), and inner cartons with your logo. Perfect for retail and Amazon FBA sellers.
Certifications & Standards
What certifications do your safety clothing products hold?
ANSI/ISEA 107 (Class 2 & 3) · NFPA 2112 (FR flash fire) · ASTM F1506 (arc flash) · EN ISO 20471 (EU hi-vis) · EN 1149-5 (anti-static) · OEKO-TEX 100 (on request). Third-party test reports from SGS, Intertek, TÜV available.
What certifications do your footwear products hold?
ASTM F2413 (steel & composite toe, impact I/75, compression C/75) · ASTM F2413 EH (electrical hazard) · ASTM F2913 (slip resistance SR) · EN ISO 20345 (EU safety footwear S1, S3).
What is the difference between ANSI Class 2 and Class 3?
Class 2: 775+ sq in fluorescent + 201 sq in reflective tape. For workers near traffic under 50 mph. Class 3: 1,240+ sq in fluorescent + 310 sq in reflective tape. For highway work where traffic exceeds 50 mph and workers need maximum visibility. When in doubt, choose Class 3.
Do FR products maintain protection after washing?
Yes. We use inherently flame-resistant fabric — the FR protection is built into the fiber, not a chemical coating. It never washes out and lasts the garment's entire service life. Treated-FR options are also available for lower-cost programs (rated 50–75 wash cycles).
Can you provide lab test reports for customs clearance?
Yes — third-party reports from SGS, Intertek, and TÜV are available in PDF format. Accepted by US Customs and Canadian Border Services for compliance verification.
Shipping & Logistics
What shipping methods do you offer?
Sea freight (LCL/FCL): US West Coast ~18–25 days, East Coast ~28–35 days. Air freight: 5–8 days (best under 200kg). Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS): 3–5 days (samples & small orders). We support EXW, FOB, CIF, and DDP Incoterms.
Do you handle customs clearance and import duties?
We can ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) — we manage all customs and duties, you receive goods with no extra charges. Alternatively, FOB or EXW if you have your own import agent. US duty rates on safety workwear typically range 12–28% depending on HTS code.
Do you ship to the US, Canada, and Europe?
Yes — we regularly ship to the US, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Contact us for destinations not listed.
What documents do you provide with each shipment?
Commercial Invoice · Packing List · Bill of Lading / Air Waybill · Certificate of Origin · Inspection Certificate (if conducted). Additional: lab test reports, MSDS sheets, ANSI/ASTM certification letters on request.
What if goods are damaged or lost in transit?
We package for transit safety and recommend cargo insurance (0.3–0.5% of cargo value). If damage occurs, document with photos within 7 days — we work with the insurer/carrier to resolve and replace or credit.
Payment
What are your payment terms?
30% deposit on order confirmation, 70% balance before shipment after QC inspection. Long-term customers can discuss Net 30 or flexible terms after 3+ successful orders.
What payment methods do you accept?
T/T (Bank Wire) — preferred for large orders · PayPal — available for samples & orders under $2,000 · Western Union · Trade Assurance via Alibaba — escrow-style protection. All in USD unless otherwise agreed.
Is it safe to pay a deposit before receiving my order?
Yes — the 30/70 structure limits your risk. For extra protection, request production progress photos/video and arrange a third-party pre-shipment inspection (SGS, Intertek) before releasing the balance. Trade Assurance on Alibaba adds escrow protection.
Do you offer credit terms for repeat buyers?
After 3 successful completed orders, we can discuss extended credit — 50/50 payment or Net 30 — on a case-by-case basis. Contact your account manager.
Product & Sizing
What size range do your workwear products come in?
Men's clothing: S–5XL. Women's: XS–4XL. Footwear: US 5–15 (men's), US 5–11 (women's). We use US/North American sizing by default. UK, EU, and custom regional size charts available for OEM orders.
How should safety workwear be washed and cared for?
Machine wash cold/warm (max 40°C), gentle cycle. No bleach or fabric softener — these degrade reflective tape and fluorescent fabric. Turn inside out to protect tape. Line dry or tumble dry low. Dry cleaning not recommended for FR garments.
What fabrics do you use?
Hi-vis jackets/vests: 100% Polyester 150–190gsm · Coveralls: 65/35 Poly-Cotton 240gsm · FR: Inherent FR (Nomex, Tecasafe Plus) or treated FR cotton blends · Rain suits: PU-coated 300D Polyester or PVC · Anti-static: Poly-Cotton with conductive carbon grid.
What colors are available for hi-vis products?
ANSI-certified hi-vis items are available in Safety Yellow (Lime) and Safety Orange — the only ANSI/ISEA 107 approved colorways. Non-certified items (polos, t-shirts) are available in navy, black, royal blue, bottle green, red, and custom Pantone.
Do you offer women's-specific safety workwear?
Yes — dedicated women's range with tailored feminine cuts, narrower shoulders, adjustable waist, proportional sleeve and torso lengths. Available in hi-vis jackets (Class 2 & 3), coveralls, work sets, safety vests, and FR workwear. Sizes XS–4XL.
Can I order a hi-vis jacket with a hood that fits over a hard hat?
Yes — standard option on waterproof and select winter jackets. The hood opening is sized to fit over standard Class E hard hats. Specify "hard hat compatible hood" when ordering.
Quality & Warranty
What is your quality control process?
1. Pre-production: fabric inspection · 2. In-line: random checks during sewing · 3. Final QC: 100% visual inspection to AQL 2.5 (major) / 4.0 (minor) · 4. Pre-shipment: count & packaging check. QC report with photos provided. Third-party inspections (SGS, Intertek) available on request.
What happens if I receive defective goods?
Notify us within 14 days with photos and quantity of affected units. We review same-day and offer: replacement in next shipment, credit note, or partial refund depending on the defect type and quantity.
Can I arrange a third-party pre-shipment inspection?
Yes — we welcome inspections by SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas or any inspector of your choice. Full factory access provided. Cost ~$200–350 per inspection day (buyer's responsibility). We will not ship until you release the balance based on a satisfactory report.
What is the warranty on your products?
12 months for clothing against manufacturing defects — stitching, zippers, reflective tape delamination, material breakdown. 6 months for footwear — outsole bond and upper stitching. Normal wear and tear, misuse, and improper care (e.g., bleaching FR garments) excluded.
Protective Footwear
Steel toe vs composite toe — what's the difference?
Steel toe: heavier, conducts temperature, triggers metal detectors. Composite toe (carbon/Kevlar/fiberglass): ~30% lighter, non-conductive, airport/MRI safe. Both meet the same ASTM F2413 protection level. Choose composite for workers passing metal detectors or in cold environments.
What does EH (Electrical Hazard) rated mean?
EH footwear provides secondary protection against open circuits up to 18,000 volts in dry conditions. It reduces shock risk from incidental contact. It does NOT replace primary electrical insulating boots (ASTM F2412 Class 00+) for dedicated electrical work.
Do you supply footwear in wide widths?
Standard width: D (men), B (women). Wide (2E/EE) available on OEM orders with MOQ 100 pairs per width. Order a sample to verify fit before bulk production.
Can I order insulated boots rated for extreme cold?
Yes — available with 200g, 400g, and 600g Thinsulate insulation. 400g rated to approximately -40°F/-40°C. All include waterproof membrane and steel or composite toe meeting ASTM F2413.
